I was going to call this painting 'Fire bird' because that's what I saw in it- but then I always like to leave more for the viewer to interpret for themselves.

I was so taken by this view that I painted it twice!

Getting the light in the sky right was such a challenge- but it was good for me. You can only learn painting by doing and this was a great exercise.

When I showed this piece in my exhibition last year, the sun caught it at one point, and it was almost as if the clouds started drift across the canvas.
